Welcome to the Zimmermann Band's website, a London-based Early Music orchestra and vocal consort. Founded in 2018 by Chris Jeanes, this ambitious young ensemble specialises in music of the 17 and 18th centuries; primarily the works of J.S. Bach but also his contemporaries and musical forebears.
Future plans include commencing our Bach Cantata series, celebrating the 300th anniversary of Bach becoming the Kantor at the Thomaskirche in Leipzig and composing the great Cantata cycles and Passions (commencing February 2023).
Going forward, the Zimmermann Band will be based primarily at St Anne's Church, Wandsworth, investing in the community and developing the church as a musical hub.
